Note: I’m 71 with a neurological disorder so I had these seats made to be comfortable for long hours behind the wheel.

The cabinet has a large drawer, microwave, paper towel dispenser, small porcelain bar sink with USB powered faucet. Two water tanks for fresh and gray water accessed through the door behind the driver.

With this view looking in from the driver side, the yellow power strip can be seen and this is where I access the water tanks.
Beside the sink is a phone holder facing the bed and a plug strip powered by the power station.

I bought this van a year ago. It had sat for a long time but with such low mileage (about 35k at that time) was very solid. Has no rust except spots of surface rust which I have not yet cleaned off. It has a couple spots where the paint needs touched up and minor dents. I have not addressed these yet either. The new buyer can thus see the raw exposed excellent condition of this 23 year old van.

In the past year I removed all the stripes and decals as they were sun faded and cracked. I also removed badging and the conversion van ground effects. Then the paint was buffed out and restored.

This has been my daily driver for a year and I’ve worked out all the mechanical bugs. I had the AC system repaired, new brakes and bad brake lines replaced, power steering pump replaced, transmission was serviced, fuel filter replaced, cabin and engine air filters replaced, mass airflow sensor removed and cleaned, rear axle seal replaced. It has the 5.3 Vortec V8 engine. This motor is know to run for 300,000miles.

My mechanic has completely gone through this van and fixed anything we could find wrong. I asked him to take a prevention minded approach as I planned to keep this van forever.

I wanted to create a modern version of a 70s boogie van. This van purrs while cruising down the highway 75 mph. It’s smooth and quiet without a bunch of rattles and squeaks.

The back sofa folds down to a bed. I have a full size memory foam mattress I throw on top. I have a small extension device I made to support the foot of the bed because the sofa bed wasn’t long enough for my 6’ height and the full length of the mattress.

I have the two center captains seats that easily latch in.  They appear like new condition. So does the back sofa.

I searched a long time before I bought this van. 2003 was the first year of the current version of the Chevy Express. Therefore, most parts are interchangeable with all years up to current 2025 model year. And since this version hasn’t really changed, most shops can work on this van and it’s easy and inexpensive to get repairs. Like I stated, I planned to keep this van the rest of my life. And you can tell when you see it. Unfortunately I’m coming to terms with barriers and limitations from my neurological disorder disability combined with my aging. One example, the van is too tall to go through automatic car washes. It’s very difficult for me to hand wash with my limitations. And it drives me nuts to drive a dirty vehicle. Honestly though, if I had a good place to park it, I’d still keep it to go wandering or to sporting events or music festivals.

Note: I have this van set up for highway traveling, not off road. It’s designed for senior comfort and camping at music festivals and federal/state campgrounds. It’s also very stealth for discrete overnight parking. That’s why there’s no roof vent or solar panels. I did create a device with a couple small fans in the pop out window behind the driver. It also has the exhaust venting for the portable AC.

*Bouge Portable Air Conditioner fits perfect on top of the cabinet when traveling in hot weather. There's hooks to secure with a ratchet strap if driving with it in place. I keep the AC in my garage when not needed. It plugs into the grid power but it can operate for a short time on the power station.

Asking price is $20,900 or best reasonable offer.
